Ignite!'s Community Curiosity Labs take a great leap forward
On Monday 29 February, we will invite members of the public to show their support and help our Community Curiosity Labs take a great leap forward.
In Nottingham, in Aspley, Bulwell, and Clifton, places that don’t get much attention or opportunity we want to run science experiments with children and their families… to show that science is fun and a part of our everyday lives.
Working with Nottingham City Homes and scientists from the University of Nottingham, Ignite! tested the Community Curiosity Labs over the summer of 2015 in the Strelley and Aspley neighbourhoods. Children and their families explored science questions in a series of fun experiments. It had an immediate impact.
Many people think that science is difficult and not for them. But everyone is curious about something, and the kinds of questions that children come up with can help families learn together. Community Curiosity Labs, which take place in local libraries, social and community centres, show that science can be fun, exciting and is part of our everyday lives.
Please support our project and help more people find the spark of their curiosity...
