On Thursday 25 September Hasmita and I visited Lab_13 in Irchester, with two science teachers from primary schools in Leicester. The Lab_13 Management Team were on great form (see adjacent selfie). We have exciting news! Lab_13 Irchester are seeking guest Scientists in Residence!
While Lab_13's Scientist in Residence, Jenny Hogan, is away for three weeks teaching scientists and teachers in Abu Dhabi, the Management Team of Lab_13 would like to offer you a day working with the scientists of Lab_13 Irchester, near Wellingborough.
The Offer
This voluntary role is a unique opportunity to work with young and dedicated researchers, with boundless curiosity and endless questions, in an excellent lab for a day of mutual discovery.
How does this work? You sign up for one day working as a guest Scientist in Residence between Monday 10th and Friday 28th November 2014 and describe your area of interest/focus. We’ll supply you with a range of challenging questions and topics to investigate with us in Lab_13. Tea, coffee, water, lunch and biscuits will be on offer, and we guarantee the chance to experience first-hand one the most innovative programmes for growing young scientists anywhere.
Lab_13 Irchester is under one hour away from Birmingham, Nottingham, Cambridge and London St Pancreas.

Hi my name is Beth and I am the S in STEM. Lab_13 came to our school when were only in Year2 and, ever since, I wanted to be part of the Lab 13 committee. I want to do more work on inspiring girls into science and to learn to love it just like we do. |
